MY HUSBAND!

Many of you know Stew as a deep thinker, confrentational guy about what is right, silly, lover of the truth of God. So yes, you know him, but as his wife, i have gotten to know him even more deeply and the last 3 years i have seen him grow so much! And in that he has challenged my faith and been an incredible spiritual leader. So i just wanted to write about him a bit.

The last 6 mos. he has been a student of the Word through Tim Keller's influence and by some men in his seminary class. It has been so fun to watch him light up with a fresh new faith of God and who God has called Him to be. And if you know Stew, you know when he gets on something new and fresh, he talks about it to everyone he meets and his life takes a lasting change. And so it has been so the last 6 mos.

There have been several things, but one thing in particular is a lesson on "influence vs. position/title" what does this mean? stew can tell you best, but it is the same thing that Joseph and King David learned....that Christ displayed. I don't know much about a man's ego, but i do know they have one and when it gets focused on themselves and not Christ, it can turn into dangerous pride. But I have watched Stew be faithful where God has him no matter what may turn or seem not right. In the midst of circumstances that many would flee, God has brought a seed of truth to Stew's heart and is cultivating it to bare much fruit! Stew is learning that to be influencial and lead people to the Lord, you don't need a title or a position in society or a job. This may seem simple, but if you knew all the details of our circumstances the last 2 years, you would be awed!
I have watched in the face of my husband a change, from pride to humility and that has brought so much to our family. As my husband desires to sit in this lesson and let it become who he is for all he is doing now and in the future, he is being a very influencial man, especially to me. Thank you sweetheart for listening and learning. You sit 1st in our family and you are the most influencial thing to me and wesley-grant. I am so proud of you and blessed to be your wife. I love you!!
